One of the most popular and longest ongoing youth initiatives with which the Senate has been involved is the Forum for Young Canadians. For more than 40 years, this educational program has brought together students aged 16 to 19 from across the country to understand how Canada is governed. Senators have the opportunity to lead discussions with groups of students on topics of national importance.
Senator Hartling led a discussion on Mental Health, a topic intimately familiar to many youths.
